On show are the latest videos in the K series, works the artist has been dedicated to since 1997. The title - an acronym for "Konstrukcija", "constructions" in Croatian, suggests the complex nature of the artist's work: in each construction Kopljar performs a powerful yet not immediately decodable symbolic gesture. In K15, K16, K17, as in most of his videos, the performance is silent. The video camera concentrates on Kopljar, who is dressed in a luminescent suit moving in a strongly contrasting photography. The artist is invested by an intense light that transmutes the white suit into an abstract surface, while the action provokes an immediate emotional response in the viewer. The artist embodies an expressive action that stands like a monument. It creates multiple references to the visual arts and at the same time to human history. Kopljar stages acts of meditation and commemoration, as for example the famous "Warsaw genuflection" dating from December 1970, when Willy Brandt, with startling humility, spontaneously fell to his knees before the Memorial to the Jewish Ghetto Heroes. A debate on values is established: the artist takes on a clear and crucial role conveying a message of light.
