Suzy Shammah Gallery presents In the fall of twothousandandten we flowed upstream and had nothing to eat, an exhibition of Flurin Bisig (Samedan, CH, 1982) and Mickaël Marchand (Le Mans, FR, 1982).

Common to both artists is a systematic research that turns materials and objects, found on the street, into precariously balanced works. Bisig builds slender structures, made out of raw wood and cardboard with traces of bright colours, repeatedly using the same mould that fades out into endless variations. Marchand through photography and video, documents his sculptures, created on the street out of found objects into unsteady and dynamic compositions characterized by a strong visual impact.

For this exhibition the artists set up their individual works by creating a direct comparison: the changing aspect of the works evolves in the space of the gallery, through different media and dissonant time dimensions.
